A New Year, A New Look
It was a wonderful week away. Quebec City is beautiful although it was cold, cold, cold. So cold and windy ( minus 30 degrees Celsius with the wind shield) in fact that when I went out to shoot in the evening I couldn’t even keep the tripod steady in the wind, so needless to say I was disappointed with my night shots as they weren’t as sharp as they should have been. That’s the way it goes.
You may have noticed that the site has a refreshed look and I’ve now added a gallery (see the navigation bar in the top right or click here) where you can now view and purchase my photographs. Have a look around and let me know what you think.
This image was taken at Le Massif de Charlevoix in north-eastern Quebec where we took the kids skiing. This is an absolutely beautiful part of the province and the skiing is magnificent. The hill faces the expanse of the St. Lawrence river and these are the views as you’re coming down.

I like the look of your site Edith. Very nice change. All of the best with it. Excellent photo. I think you have captured the starkness and the cold. Well done.

Nice, clean looking page Edith; the Amalphi coast with the Cappicino Monastery in the background brings back memories when we stayed at St Agatha. The bleak wintery scene in Quebec, whilst nice to look at in a photograph reminds me why I live in Thailand. Well done Edith and happy new year. Gerry

The new look to your site is great. I really like the gallery – this is a nice addition.
Great capture which really makes me feel the cold. The starkness and the blue tones produce a wonderful effect.

What a great view edith! We have the opposite here in vermont this winter…the temp seem to be hovering around 32-40 degrees with more rain and ice than snow. Like the new look of the blog!

Nothing worse than a cold wind bouncing the camera and tripod. Nice new look! I am trying to update my site. But work and other obligations have kept my PC time to a minimum lately.

I dig the new look. I am currently racking my brain to come up with something new as well. Sorry the night shots didn’t work out! Nice post today! I noticed that banner image is the one and only city of Amalfi! 🙂
