Writing with Light

The Corner Store at Via Della Panetteria

Project 52 Entry #44

I was revisiting some of my Italy shots and came across one that I really liked but realized I hadn’t posted. Actually there’s still a few of those.  This was shot on our last day in Rome just walking around the city. I just loved the look of this scene and wanted to capture it all in the frame. The store front, the terracotta colored wall, the bicycle, the signs. It all just fit together so nicely.

I’ll take what ever is in the bottom right corner on the right side. Well, as long as it is covered in chocolate.

What a cool door with the built in shelves. So much in this scene to take in. Wonderful.

Very nice capture, Edith! Love all the detail and the textures. I especially like how the pedestrian in the red shirt appears to be looking into another window of the store as he walks past. Adds an extra dynamic tothe shot.

  14. I really love all your work from Europe, Edith. You take us away to the Old Country for a brief visit to a place most of us haven’t seen yet. This is a wonderful composition and all the little details here really keep the viewer entertained as they spend time soaking it all in. Top drawer capture!!
