Yeti
I hope everyone had a great weekend. Quick post today as it’s shaping up to be a very busy week. I realized that there were still some images from my Muskoka Wildlife Centre shoot that I hadn’t shared with you. I’d like to introduce Yeti, a Canadian Lynx. These were taken with the Canon 70 – 200mm 2.8L lens that I rented for this shoot. I still marvel at this piece of glass.

Gorgeous shots Edith! The detail in these is terrific!

Edith, those pictures are really great and remind me of Robert Bateman paintings. Everything is crisp and so totally in focus and the composition is right on. A couple of pictures that should be on the “sold” list I’m sure. Gerry

Dear Edith Levy, this is so beautiful and I haven’t known them before… are they same as cats or they are wild animals… Thank you, you captured amazing shots, I loved them both. Have a nice and enjoyable new week, with my love, nia

Thanks so much for the comments Nia. I always appreciate it. Yeti is a Lynx. They are found in the wild but she was photographed when I was at a woldlife centre which rescues wild animals.

Beautiful captures Edith. The eyes are the most important challenge in photographing animals and you have knocked this out.

Thanks Rob. I rented this lens for this particular shoot but I really didn’t want to give it back. I have to save up for my own.

What an absolutely stunning creature! I love these shots. You have acquired quite the animal collection! I don’t think I have 10 animal shots in my entire portfolio… haha. Nice work Edith.

Very nice captures, Edith.! Eyes are perfectly sharp and you have made great use of the shallow DOF offered by the 70-200.

Holy smokes! I was wondering how you got so close to one of these with only a 200mm lens! These are amazing cats, love’em. There is one momma that roams around near Newport Back Bay that will just stroll right by on you on the same trail – that is, unless you try and take her picture 😦
