Writing with Light

Yet (i) Again!

Project 52 Entry #47

Sorry…so sorry about the post title. I just couldn’t resist.

If you missed Monday’s post (have a look here), I introduced Yeti, a Canadian Lynx that I photographed at the Muskoka Wildlife Centre. I was finishing up processing a few more shots and I just loved this one. Yeti was getting too comfortable just lounging in the sun so the staff member that was in the lynx enclosure with us fearless photographers waved a broomstick in front of her (just playing) which made her swat at it. You can see the snow flying in the foreground.  You gotta love those paws…she’s just a pussycat after all.

Click to enlarge (it really does look better) or to purchase a print.

  4. Fantastic shot, Edith. Much better than Yeti just ‘lounging around.’ Those little bits of snow really add to the action.

  6. Great shots in your previous post of Yeti but I really love the shot here with a little action going. The loose snow and raised paws make this a really fine piece.

    Nice work, Edith!

  19. Oh my GOODNESS, this one is almost cuter than the previous 2 shots!! What a cutie-patootie! I’ve looked everyone online for instructions on how to keep one as a pet, no luck yet. But I have to admit, I’m driven and will continue to search!! What a fabulous, fabulous shot, Edith, fan-flippin-tastic work here my friend!

  20. A well captured photograph, taken at the right moment. It’s quite lovely how the lynx seems just as playful as any other cat. And you captured the playful expression wonderfully. The lynx is a beautiful animal.
