Take a Trip to Mars
Project 52 Entry #50
Welcome to Mars Diner.
Sometimes your eyes and you brain “see” very different things. Has that ever happened to you? I have a very romantic idea of what a nostalgic diner should look like and while Mars Diner is a fun place it was missing some oomph.
After processing my brackets through Photomatix & Photoshop I then provided some “oomph” using LucisArt and then a touch of glow in OnOne Perfect Effects. This is what my brain saw! The fact that there was a gentleman sitting on the stool and someone behind the counter was sheer luck.
Click image to enlarge (honestly it looks better) or to purchase a print.
Impresionante! me gusta muchísimo, abrazos

I love how you edited this image, Edith! You have added a lot of character to this diner. I am not fond of old diners, but I sure wouldn’t mind being inside a place like this. I think this photo should be hanging on an art gallery!

You did wonderful things with this photo. My eyes want to take in and study ever little part of it. I also think this is a shot where I would love to see the original to compare the before and after.

How cool is it that there was only one person there and one behind the counter? That’s like Saturday Evening Post stuff. Great Job!

That image truly pops when seen enlarged. It has a quality that one sometimes sees in Illustration – sharply defined, and very distinctive (I’m struggling for the right words!) I love it. I’ve made a note of LucisArt (they do a Mac version I see).

Thanks Andy. Yes that’s what LucisArt does…brings out incredible detail and I do use it on my Mac.
