On my “must” list when we were in Maine was to photograph the Portland Head Lighthouse. I’m still processing the images from my DSLR but I thought, in the interim, I’d share a few of my iPhone shots with you.

This was one of most oft imaged lighthouses in Maine because it was so easy to access. While everyone concentrated upon the lighthouse, just below in a tidal pool was a reflection of the lighthouse that is the quintessential shot when the wind is still. Everyone i ever saw there missed it. Sunrise was always a bit too early for my taste. Nice shot.

Thanks Victor. While I’m not a morning person, it was beautiful being there just before sunrise. There was not a soul around and it was a great way to experience the beauty of the scene.

Very nice, Edith. I like the mood of the lighthouse shot. I’m still trying to get out to more of the lighthouses down here on the outer banks. Would be fun to head up to Maine though. Maybe some day.
