Weekly Photo Challenge – Renewal

I was contemplating this week’s photo challenge and which image I should post. Naturally with a theme like “renewal” I was leaning towards posting an image of a bloom in the spring but then I started to think about what makes me feel “renewed and fresh.” It’s being out by the ocean…it does it to me every time and obviously this couple felt the same way on this day. I was a bit envious when I spotted them. It seemed that they had Otter Point (in Acadia National Park) all to themselves. I made a mental note to bring a chair the next time I visited 🙂

  5. Fabulous shot Edith! All the element in this photo make this shot perfect, the rich sky, the ocean, the big space, the couple and a sense of renewal. Excellent choice!

  6. Excellent image Edith which fits the theme well. We often find ourselves oceanside.
I believe it lowers the blood pressure. 🙂

  8. Fresh mountain air makes me all renewed and refreshed. Actually, spending a weekend in a cabin in the woods with friends is the best medicine. Now I want to travel south….thanks 😉

  9. I could not agree more, there is something magical about the ocean. I find myself drawn toward the shorelines all the time and it really does renew and energize.

    Great choice of photo, Edith!

  10. It would have to be a mountain for me! No surprises there, Edith. I think this image is a clever interpretation of renewal and a great shot. I wonder what it looks like in colour?

    • Thanks Andy. While I liked the color version it was taken at mid day and the light was very harsh so I thought a conversion to B&W was in order.
