    Wonderful processing on this fine shot, Edith. Love the architectural style of St. Louis Cathedral. It simply looks like it’s been there for a very long time, although well maintained.

    Great B&W, Edith! Wonderful processing to bring out the shine in the wet pavement. I never thought garbage cans could become such a key element in an image, but they really help guide the viewer through this shot!! 😉

      Thanks andy. Yes I was lucky although it didn’t rain. The wet pavement was due to city workers cleaning the pavement.

    This reminds me of night shots I took in Gruyere, Switzerland back in the film days. Shot at 3200 speed with rainy streets, it had a mysterious look. I like your star effect–this is just beautiful. Black and white is becoming a lost art and it shouldn’t be because it can express things that can never be captured in color.
