Writing with Light

It’s been a while since I posted any Italy pictures and there’s still a few that I had meant to share and haven’t had the chance. This image is from a lovely afternoon spent in Trastevere. Trastevere is in Rome located on the west bank of the Tiber. This little enclave with it narrow, winding, cobblestone streets is best explored on foot.

This image seems so European – for good reason – it’s Europe! Love the warmth of the buildings! Beauty!

  15. A beautiful cityscape, capturing the atmosphere of the cobblestone streets of Trastevere. The processing (probably HDR?) gives the image a painterly quality.

  19. This image is a story in itself. There’s so much in there. Warm light sets the scene for the people and the washing hanging high above. This is a real joy, Edith.

What a beautiful scene that tells a story of the old country. Love your processing on this, Edith. The clothes hanging on the line adds a nice touch. This makes a nice travel poster too.

  22. Wonderful capture Edith. Love the way you caught the people relaxing and hanging out. Adds a contemporary feel to what could otherwise be an old-world treatment. Well done.

    • Thank you Tina. This is the type of scene you come across at every corner. People sitting outside, eating, drinking and simply enjoying life.
