Bird Rock
Before we get to today’s image I just wanted to say a big “THANK YOU” to all my readers, visitors and followers. Yesterday this little blog that could hit 1000 followers. I’m humbled and grateful to each and everyone of you for your continued visits and support.
Bird Rock is one of the scenic stops along the 17 Mile Drive through Pebble Beach and Pacific Grove. Named for obvious reasons this massive rock that juts out of the pacific ocean is a hang out for cormorants, pelicans, seagulls as well as California sea lions. It really is quite a site to see.

1000 followers? Wowww! That’s sooo cool! Congrats Edith! What’s your secret?

Congrats on reaching that lovely milestone, Edith. That’s great!
Cool shots of “Bird Rock”. The birds obviously see this as a peaceful place to hang out without being bothered. Is that the natural color of that rock or has it been “painted” by the birds themselves over time? Just wondering.

Thanks Jimi. No that’s not the natural color of the rock. The birds did indeed “paint” it themselves 🙂

Congratulations on your Followers. Nicely captured image. I enjoyed the way that they have crowded together with much space still available on the island.

Congrats on the statistic, Edith. It’s always been a great pleasure to watch your Blog grow. A humungous pile of Guano somehow doesn’t quite feel right for such an auspicious occasion! LOL! Good though it is as an image. I will raise a glass to the future later ( we are out celebrating tonight, our daughter just got engaged!)

They’re birds although there were some seals swimming in the water next to the rock.

Hey Edith, I’m not really sure if this true or not but as of last week I can’t view your website at work anymore… our firewall has flagged as a malicious website which is the worst rating!!!! I think its a false alarm but I thought I’d mention it in case you want to check things on your end. Besides that hope all is well 🙂

Thanks for letting me know Bashar. Everything seems ok on my end. Unfortunately I have some sites that are blocked through my office computer as well but I have no problem with them at home.
