Venice Art Walls

A section of Venice Beach is a fantastic art gallery. Street artists can create beautiful works of graffiti art (“by permit only” as the sign says) for all to see and enjoy. Here’s a sampling of what you can find.

That is some great graffiti, Edith. Interesting that you need a permit there.

    • Thanks Len. Yes there was a sign on the beach that painting the walls requires a permit.

  5. Great catch of the artist at work, Edith. The creators of this colorful art form usually have to be so very secretive that they are hard to put on film (or whatever the digital age equivalent saying would be).

    • Thanks so much Mark. I’m not sure how the city enforces it but you need a permit to add to the artwork on these walls. The beach and boardwalk were filled with people and these artists just went about their business.

Reminds me of the Krog Street Tunnel in Atlanta … in terms of city sanctioned street are. Love that idea, frankly! Nice shots!

  10. I am always amazed at the level of talent displayed by those with nothing more than a few spray cans. It is truly awesome.
