A Little Disagreement

Here’s another image that I took at the Elephant Seal Rookery at Piedras Blancas. You can see the first image from the rookery here. These two fellas were arguing about something and I have to tell you they are loud. Males can weight up to 5,000 lbs, so I don’t know about you but I wouldn’t want to get into a fight with one.

Have a great weekend everyone.

  1. No I don’t think I would want to either! That’s a rather hefty weight. Somehow they just look a bit like some of us when we’re standing our ground! Now that’s strange. Actually think I’ve learn’t something from this…good photo.

  3. Great shot, reminds me of the time I nearly stood on one at dusk on a beach in NZ, I thought it was a log and trying to impress my date (my wife now) decided to walk along it, we came face to face, both screaming, not my finest hour.

    • LOL that’s too funny. For their size the move rather quickly wen they want to get somewhere. Glad you came away from the encounter unscathed 🙂

    • You could be right but the barking they were doing was very menacing.

  10. Have you ever heard of Ano Nuevo in California? It’s pretty cool. I have an issue with my knee that prevents me from going on that hike especially with a camera. But you can read about it here: http://www.parks.ca.gov/?page_id=1115
