Jaffa Light
Jaffa has been one of the major port cities in the Mediterranean for thousands of years. Most archeologists believe that this town has had an active port since the Bronze Age. While its no longer a working harbour there are still sailboats gliding through the clear blue waters and young men and women fishing off the pier. Today this trendy area is home to restaurants, galleries, artist studios and boutiques.
I spent the evening shooting in Old Jaffa with its myriad of alleyways (still working on processing those images) but wanted to share this image of the old port with Jaffa Light standing guard.
