Weekly Photo Challenge – CN Tower – Between

CN Tower Sandwich

Last week I spent the afternoon out on Centre Island for a work function. Once back in the city my colleagues and I were walking across Queens Quay heading towards our next destination…drinks on the patio 🙂 I had to stop when I saw this scene, the CN Tower seemingly sandwiched between tow condo buildings.  I thought this would be perfect for this weeks theme.

This was shot with my iPhone 4s and processed with Snapseed to crop and for some minor adjusts and then with iColorama to create this overall painterly effect.

iPhone Friday – Art Extremes

It’s Friday and the weekend is just around the corner. For us, here in Canada, it’s going to be a long weekend as we get ready to celebrate Canada Day on July 1st. To everyone celebrating Canada Day and to all my friends in the US, who will be celebrating Independence Day on July 4th, have a great weekend.

I always try to keep a look out for interesting pieces of art or sculptures when I’m out and about. This week I came across two that are both interesting and at extremes in terms of subject matter. I was experimenting with a new app I picked up, iColorama, on the second image and decided to give it an out worldly glow.
